Are you now planning your marketing activities for this year? (Or are you procrastinating planning?)
I know it’s not easy.
But it’s great to have some guidance when you look up from all the operational work and think to yourself, what’s next? In this case, the guidance comes from yourself, your January-self who did a bit of planning for the year.
We have seen that online marketers like to run contests and sweepstakes once a month.
To help you we’ve collected, in an infographic, what occasions can be good occasions to go festive.
Do not only think about Facebook when you are planning contests and sweepstakes. Your website is just as good a place to start. It always depends on where you drive the traffic, and what your campaign’s goals are.
You can run multiple kinds of contests:

Did this infographic help you generate some ideas?
It’s much more effective if you preface contests and sweepstakes with a reason, so you can justify to your customers why you are so nice to them.
For example it’s better to say that “Our Easter giveaway starts in a day”, than “Our giveaway starts in a day”.
It adds a bit of exclusivity to the contest. It’s better to participate in a Halloween contest, than in just another contest.
So save this infographic, and use it as a guide through the year.
